Question! Question! From someone who does not know very many juxtaposi...tious...women...
when a girl sleeps with another girl, does it still count as "getting fucked"?
this seems to defy my middle class white male logic, but by all means fill me in.
short answer: yep. SEE CHASING AMY, bar scene.
smartass answer: honey, how would i know, ask a lesbian!
(waits for the kids in the back to get the "sarah's not a lesbian, she's a bisexual kinky queer whatever" joke)
long answer: queer theorists have a field day with this one. the definition of "sex" as "penile-vaginal intercourse" (both sets of genitals being biological and attached to their hosts, who are of course "male" and "female" respectively) is, um, not how we're doing things in the queer community anymore.
BDSM (bondage/dominance/sadism/masochism) folks and kinky people in general - this being the more inclusive term because it is most broad and can include people who are sexually deviant (woohoo deviance!) in ways not covered by BDSM - can and do define sex and sex acts in a number of ways. the most common example i can think of would be a "scene" - sexual play-acting, the classic schoolgirl, bondage, or whipping scenario - that doesn't include "sex" but may include or not include other sex acts. the culmination of bdsm scenes is often not "sex." scenes can be performed to induce euphoria, to punish, etc. etc.
but i digress. especially since many queers would never identify as kinky or BDSM. queers (lesbian/gay/bisexual/trans people/etcs) define sex however they want. many people define sex as penetration of some sort, but some people are not big fans of penetration. others define sex as someone having an orgasm. the jury is still out.
i could continue, but you probably get the idea by now. if you have questions, though, by all means . . .
IN SHORT: i'll say i've been fucked by whomever i please, and if there is any confusion as to the exact sex acts entailed, feel free to ask and maybe, just maybe, i'll clarify for you. the rest i leave to the imagination of the perverts reading.
GOLDEN RULE: WE RESPECT A PERSON'S IDENTITY AND TRUTH, WHATEVER THEY ARE.
oh, and one other thing:
i see sex/virginity as a continuum. ie, there are many virginities to be "lost" (don't love that terminology, but it's what i've got). so, i may not be a "virgin" in the traditional sense of the word, but i could still define myself as an anal-sex-virgin, or a strip-club-virgin, or whatever. mostly people progress kissing-handjobs-oral-vaginal/penile, but some don't. someone who's never had penile/vaginal sex but has had lots of oral sex could consider him/her self a virgin - or not.
i second than, ms sarah!!! y'all (like how im working on my texan?) need to watch the scene in chasing amy where the lesbian is having an argument about what defines "fucking"...it really is great! oh, and ps: sarah is a rockstar
damn...didn't read the "chasing amy bar scene" that sarah mentioned at the top...doh!...but it's actually on a swing set...and it rocks
doh! again...it was in the bar AND the swing set...think before commenting
and yet, at the end of all this, a party STILL ain't enough...
what a sad, sad world...

What if the party had . . . clowns?
This is a poem
about nothing
about something
this is a poem
about someone standing
someone lying down
somewhere with doors
closed, doors
open: people are eating
breakfast perhaps: their faces
are peaceful
with chewing
with tasting
sharp smells rise up
from the street, rise up
from beds, from carseats
men and women are walking
they are all going somewhere
else: their arms
swing, their legs
swing
from their hips their clothes
hide, their clothes
reveal:
there are always secrets
among us someone is lying down
somewhere or else
someone is standing up
the doors there are open
the doors there are closed
